Our subscriptions include everything you need for cashless payment.
They are perfect for small and medium-sized companies in all sectors.
The following costs are generally incurred for card payments:
- Transaction fees: These are fees that are charged per transaction and often comprise a percentage of the transaction amount plus a fixed amount. The amount of these fees can vary depending on the payment provider, card type (credit card, debit card) and the contract model.
- Monthly fees: Some payment providers charge a monthly service fee regardless of the number of transactions.
- Terminal rental or purchase costs: Costs may be incurred for the physical device for card payment, the terminal, in the form of rental or purchase price.
- Set-up fees: Some providers charge a one-off fee for setting up the payment system.
- Chargeback fees (charge backs): Additional fees may apply for chargebacks by customers
The term of contracts for terminal subscriptions with PayTec is 24 months. You can choose between monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves you time and effort and we grant a 10% discount compared to monthly billing.
In many countries, there is an upper limit for contactless payments to increase security and minimise the risk of theft or loss of the card. The limit can vary and in Switzerland is CHF 80 per transaction without entering a PIN.
In the event of a cancellation, the amount is usually refunded to the card used. The duration of the chargeback process may vary depending on the bank and payment provider. Additional charges may apply for chargebacks by customers and the catering establishment may need to verify the reason for the chargeback.
PayTec offers an automatic settlement function that summarises all card transactions of the day and sends them to the bank for processing at the specified time (can be defined by you). The settlement details can be viewed via the payment terminal or our connected online portal.
