KIT - Cash Register Integrated Driver

All KIT interfaces offer high compatibility with various technologies and platforms. Security is ensured through modern security protocols and event-driven architecture.

KIT via Cloud
KIT via Cloud is a JavaScript-based web API that integrates seamlessly into web-based applications. It enables simple and efficient connection of payment terminals via cloud services.
KIT Rest
KIT Rest provides a RESTful API for connecting payment terminals, utilizing standardized HTTP methods and enabling flexible integration into various systems.
KIT API
KIT API is an API for Java/.NET that fully implements the KIT TLV protocol. It is event-driven and automates communication with the terminal, including heartbeats.
KIT JSON und KIT TLV
These interfaces define the communication protocol to the terminal, with data being transmitted either as TLV or JSON. These protocols are ideal when JavaScript, Java, or .NET cannot be used.

PayTec offers a comprehensive range of interfaces for the integration of payment terminals, enabling developers to seamlessly and efficiently integrate payment solutions into various use cases.

Specifications

ZVT LAN
PayTec also offers a ZVT interface via LAN for ep2 terminals. This supports the ZVT specification v13.08 of the Terminal Manufacturers Association in Germany (Verband der Terminal-Hersteller in Deutschland e.V.). This integration is particularly suitable when the cash register already supports ZVT: Commands for Retail and Hospitality are supported.
O.P.I.
We support the Open Payment Initiative (O.P.I.) protocol.
MDB
Certain terminals are offered with MDB. The implementation supports Cashless Device Level 3 with Selection First, Credit First, and Always Idle. PayTec holds an ep2 MDB reference approval, allowing for a simplified procedure for the ep2 conformity certification.
GPIO
Contact-activated machines can be connected using an additional PayTec GPIO box. These types of machines have a potential-free input (or multiple inputs). This input controls the product dispensing or increments the credit on the machine.

What is an ep2 machine certification?

As a Swiss integrator, you must submit your entire system (vending machine and terminal) for an ep2 machine certification. This ensures a correct and stable integration of the ep2 terminals into the vending machine. We provide strong support during the certification process.
